Since we have the ability to easily get answers to questions about the Park District through public records requests and “other” means, it will be interesting to eventually find out why the park district has cut down almost all trees in the inner circle, and a lot of trees around the picnic area and parking lot at Beartown Lakes.

I think it looks terrible with the trees cut down.

John Oros said that it was done for “maintenance” – when asked what that meant he said it had to do with the asphalt and with security. Not sure what any of that meant.
