Once again, the Wayne National Forest is southeastern Ohio is under threat from mining, fracking and logging interests and the Ohio government, the EPA, et. al. are doing little to nothing to protect this last remaining tract of old growth forest in the state.

Please download the letter of protest below, print it out, sign and mail it to the Bureau of Land Management. Please do this TODAY! The window for public comment closes on Monday, August 2, 2026. If public comment truly means anything to us as PGP supporters, then we need to send in as many of these letters as possible by the closing date! If the BLM receives little to no response to the plan to open vast areas of old growth forest for resource extraction, then they have cover for turning public land into a giant piggy bank for corporate interests.

No other form of comment will be accepted other than hard-copy mail—so please do this today.

It might also be helpful to e-mail copies to Governor DeWine and your State Rep/State Senator and even our US Senators and the US House Rep from your distict.
