A proposal to allow snowmobiles for the first time in a Geauga Park District park brought immediate objections from audience members attending the park board meeting Tuesday.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Park Director John Oros asked the park board of commissioners their opinions on allowing snowmobiles on a trial basis in Observatory Park in Montville Township. He added that he personally believed snowmobiles could be accommodated in one of the district parks.
