According to Geauga County Probate and Juvenile Court Judge Timothy J. Grendell, change is better than experience. That was his justification early this month for ending 23 years of voluntary, exemplary service by Terry Ries as a Russell Park District commissioner.
Mr. Ries’ contributions to the township park district include 100 percent perfect audits as fiscal officer for more than two decades, design of the Russell Uplands Preserve, thanks to his expertise as a landscape architect, and commitment to the community’s desire for the preservation of green space.
