RUSSELL TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Russell Trustees hope to pull the rug out from under Probate Judge Tim Grendell by forming a separate township park board that could place a levy on the November ballot to fund the purchase of Modroo Farm.
Frustrated with Probate Judge Tim Grendell’s recent appointees to the township’s park board and foil what they believe could be a lost opportunity to purchase and keep the approximate 50-acre Modroo Farm out of developers hands, Russell township trustees are seeking to establish their own park board.
“This allows us to place the issue back in the hands of the voters and out of the hands of Grendell and his appointees who the voters had rejected as their representatives in several elections,” said Township Trustee Jim Mueller.
