Protect Geauga Parks is pleased to host the latest in our series of Conservation Conservation events featuring Steve Madewell who will make a presentation on the intrinsic value of protected public open spaces. Steve is a conservationist and musician and will weave his music into the presentation.

He served as Executive Director for Metroparks of the Toledo Area, Lake Metroparks and Geauga Park District, retiring in 2016. Over the course of his career he has been directly involved in nearly every facet of park operations from environmental education and law enforcement to land acquisition, wetlands restoration and natural resource management. He remains involved in national, state and regional conservation initiatives.

As a gifted musician, his songs are shaped by his passion for the natural world and will blend this music into his conservation message for an inspiring presentation.
